6 In. x 48 In. Sanding Belts feature aluminum oxide grains coated on premium X-weight poly/cotton backing and fastened into a belt using a bi-directional, high strength butt joint. These 6×48 A/O belts are close coat, resin on resin bonded which provides superior grain retention and reduces loading compared to other bonding methods. Aluminum Oxide grains provide a uniform finish and consistent performance on a wide range of materials including ferrous metals, high-tensile materials and wood. Aluminum Oxide sanding belts are the most popular due to their economical cost and excellent cut to cost ratio. Aluminum Oxide sanding belts are best used for general purpose sanding, grinding, deburring or blending. These 6″ x 48″ are designed for sanding on a 6×48 combination sander, benchstand sander, and/or back stand belt sander and are available in 36 grit, 40 grit, 60 grit, 80 grit, 100 grit, 120 grit, 180 grit, 220 grit, 320 grit, and 400 grit.
